LawSoft and Internet Explorer 8 in perfect harmony

Specialist business software developers have always had to ‘manage’ the relationship they have with Microsoft. The dominance of MS Office and Internet Explorer in today’s business world is such that any industry specific application must reside harmoniously alongside Microsoft’s wares. With Microsoft regularly releasing new versions of its products, it is a perpetual undertaking on the part of business software developers to ensure compatibility. The more time spent redeveloping 3rd party interfaces, the less time spent enhancing the actual specialist software.

In this regard Pilgrim always emerges unscathed. LawSoft’s architecture is such that only Microsoft technology is used in its design. Microsoft technologies are used throughout all LawSoft’s tiers. This means that it adapts well to use with Microsoft desktop products like Internet Explorer (IE). LawSoft is delivered to the user as a web client. It is therefore reliant on IE to deploy the technology to the user community. Where other suppliers have had major issues with the release of new Microsoft versions including IE8, there has been no gnashing of teeth or pulling of hair in the Pilgrim offices.

The current version of LawSoft (Release 7) has been successfully tested with IE8. LawSoft Release 8 which is due for full release in June 2009 is fully IE8 compliant and takes advantage of many of IE8’s new features.
