Legal Sector Security Awareness Training Service Shortlisted for Key Industry Awards
UK News

Infosec logoInfosec Cloud, the legal sector’s leading provider of fully managed Security Awareness Training and Testing, has been shortlisted for two industry awards, namely the UK IT Industry Awards and the Computing Security Awards.

Security Awareness Training and Testing (SATT) integrates web-based interactive security awareness training with random, simulated phishing attacks. The 12 month service ensures IT End Users understand and are vigilant against spam, phishing, spear phishing, website security, pop ups, adverts, malware, ransomware, social engineering and physical security attacks.

One significant data breach can lead to lost jobs, substantial legal costs, non-compliance penalties, loss of brand reputation, customer loss, and a catastrophic hit on the bottom line.

Pete Sherwood, MD Infosec Cloud commented: “We launched our fully managed Security Awareness and Testing service last year and have seen a tremendous uptake within the UK legal sector. Law Firms are recognising that their greatest security vulnerability is through cyber criminals targeting the workforce. The majority of breaches today are due to untrained staff falling victim to phishing attacks, such as fake emails and websites.”

UK IT Industry Awards 2016

The UK IT Industry Awards from Computing and BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, are the benchmark for outstanding performance throughout the UK computer industry. The awards focus on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past 12 months.

The Infosec Cloud Security Awareness Training and Testing service has been shortlisted for the Security Innovation of the Year Award.

The awards are judged against four key criteria:

  • Innovation: has the product introduced new or leading-edge technologies, created different ways of working, or novel approaches that benefit its users?
  • Measurable success: can the team demonstrate significant commercial success for the product during the past 12 months?
  • Customer satisfaction: is there evidence of customers using the product successfully to improve their operations and that they would recommend the product to others?
  • Degree to which product support is carried out in the UK: whilst non-UK products are not precluded, the degree to which the entry is developed, managed and supported in the UK is an important factor for the UK IT Industry Awards.

The winners will be announced at a formal Dinner, to be held at the Battersea Park Events Arena in London on Wednesday 16th November 2016.
