Wolters Kluwer’s ELM Solutions and PwC Announce Collaboration to Streamline Claims Litigation Process

Wolters Kluwer’s ELM Solutions and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, USA, (PwC) today announced that they have entered into a strategic relationship that will enable the companies to co-present their offerings to joint clients and prospects.

The new relationship combines ELM Solution’s claims litigation technology platform with PwC’s claims management consulting and services. The companies say that the collaboration is intended to provide insurance claims clients with deeper insights and better engineered workflow throughout the entire claims and litigation process by creating a more holistic ecosystem approach. It also allows them to avoid managing various, one-point solutions.

“Increasingly, legal professionals in the insurance industry seek holistic technology solutions that can work together, while eliminating unnecessary complexity and costs,” said Glenn Paredes, executive vice president and general manager at Wolters Kluwer’s ELM Solutions. “By collaborating with other leading industry providers like PwC, we are better positioned to integrate outside technology, enhance our clients’ insight into their operations, and deliver a world class customer experience.” 

By joining together, the two companies will enable their mutual clients to leverage the extensive capabilities of Passport® Claims Defense for successful outside counsel collaboration, while providing a single reporting source for the entire litigation management life cycle, from the creation of a claim through the outcome of litigation. PwC and Wolters Kluwer’s ELM Solutions also intend to develop an integration between additional third-party industry-leading claims management solution(s) and Passport® Claims Defense, a modular, scalable, and integrated insurance solution.

Through its technology solutions, in-depth data and analytics, and professional services, Wolters Kluwer’s ELM Solutions says its “enables legal and claims organizations to address the intricate complexities they face and ultimately make better business decisions.” Last month Wolters Kluwer’s ELM Solutions announced it is “bringing greater efficiency, collaboration and software usability to corporate legal departments” with Passport® Office Companion. Notably, Wolters Kluwer’s ELM Solutions’ Passport solution now features an interface that enables legal professionals to manage their legal workflows directly from familiar Microsoft Office Suite of products.
