Prosperoware logoNew features to Ethical Wall, Information Barrier, and Confidentiality Management platform

Prosperoware, a leading enterprise software company delivering innovative technology transforming the business of legal and professional services, today announces the official release of Milan InfoGov 3.6. Leveraging a modern architecture and multi-system support, Milan InfoGov enables compartmentalization of access to client data.

Milan is the only software on the market designed specifically to empower firms and their fluid matter teams to maintain confidentiality of client data without increasing the burden on Risk and IT teams and without causing unnecessary bottlenecks that limit productivity.

Law firms are obligated to protect client data, and it’s under constant attack – from both internal and external sources. Since the leak of the Panama Papers, we’ve seen a significant increase in client demands that data be locked down. Legacy ethical wall products fall short and are unable to meet the need. In addition to the spate of hacks hitting half of the AmLaw 100, the FTC and other organizations are coming after law firms, holding them responsible for their security infrastructure.

Milan InfoGov 3.6 ushers in a modern architecture of compartmentalization, conceived to solve today’s security challenges. The legacy architectures of other products are incapable of managing dynamic matter team groupings, high volumes of requests, or the constant security challenge; as a result, firms are finding these legacy platforms burdensome, to the point of workflow implosion.

The compartmentalization architecture of Milan InfoGov 3.6 is designed to limit the need for IT and Risk Team intervention, allowing the Head of Risk to set policy and determine who can manage daily matter access–Matter Owner, Head of Risk, or Matter Team – even at the document level–to simultaneously meet the needs of the client and the firm.

Legal

Milan Confidentiality Management is mutli-system, platform-independent, and can protect iManage, NetDocuments, eDocs, Elite, Aderant, Carpe Diem, IntApp Time, Windows File Shares, and any SQL-based system. The new, enhanced features in 3.6 include:

  • Multi-layered group management to enable matters to be locked-down to Matter Team, Client, Industry Team, or Practice Group, with the ability of Risk Teams to delegate approval and access as they decide
  • Immunity lists to accommodate fluid team working and cross-functional personnel
  • Improved notification capability that integrates fully into our Advanced Analytics to track activity (inappropriate or otherwise)
  • Comprehensive forensic audit trail

Sheetal Jain, CTO of Prosperoware, comments, “Milan InfoGov 3.6 further improves what is already the most comprehensive Ethical Wall, Information Barrier, and Confidentiality Management platform available on the market. Legacy platforms simply were not conceived for today’s law firms’ fluid staff structures, nor the types and consistency of threats to firms’ information repositories. Milan InfoGov 3.6 does what law firms need it to do: protect client data, protect the firm, and allow people to work.  Its brilliance is its simplicity, period.”
