Wilson Legal Solutions, a leading global provider of technology services and analytic solutions to enhance business performance, is pleased to announce the appointments of Mark Beaman and Brian Taaffe as senior business of law consultants.
Beaman and Taaffe join the company’s business of law consulting practice, which Wilson Legal Solutions launched in late 2014. The practice has grown steadily since that time to support law firms in their quest to run more efficient and profitable operations.
“Our clients are looking for services that are more strategic in nature, and this practice enables us to meet those needs,” says Bruce Wilson, managing director and CEO of Wilson Legal Solutions. “Mark and Brian are able to apply their experiences working with law firms around the world to add immediate value to all aspects of client engagements – from planning to strategy and execution. They are both excellent additions to our business of law team and our company overall, enhancing our ability to work closely with firms in a trusted advisory role.”
Mark Beaman draws upon more than 15 years of legal industry expertise with deep knowledge of financial systems, software implementation, and best-practice business processes. Most recently, Beaman worked with Thomson Reuters Elite in consulting and managerial roles and was the company’s regional executive focusing on global services. Previously, he ran his own legal billing consulting practice and was a financial systems and business process improvement manager with a consumer products company. He also worked with Whitehill Technologies in a technical consulting capacity to AmLaw 250 law firms.
At Wilson Legal Solutions, Beaman helps law firms implement and customize software solutions including Wilson Analytics Professional Suite and Elite Enterprise, 3E, and Design Gallery. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Management from Crandall University and an e-business development diploma from Oulton College. He resides in New Brunswick, Canada.
Brian Taaffe joins Wilson Legal Solutions with nearly 10 years of in-depth expertise focusing on law firm business intelligence (BI) and software development. He has a proven track record in analytics, project management, and C-level consulting. Most recently, Taaffe worked with LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions, where he was the product manager for the company’s business intelligence offering. Previously, he worked with Redwood Analytics as a senior business of law consultant. In that capacity, Taaffe worked with law firms around the world to deliver business intelligence and analytic consulting services, strategic consulting services, and custom BI project management.
At Wilson Legal Solutions, Taaffe is responsible for the delivery of business of law services including training, consulting, analysis, and management of BI engagements. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Economics from the University of Virginia. He resides in Philadelphia, Pa.
