To extend Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Search to their entire Enterprise

RAVN Systems, experts in Enterprise Search, Unstructured Big Data analytics and Knowledge Management solutions, announced today that Withers LLP has selected RAVN Connect for SharePoint 2013 to extend Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Search to the entire enterprise and provide the basis for their new Knowledge Management solution.

Having chosen SharePoint 2013 as a strategic platform, Withers wanted to leverage the power of the inherent search engine and extend it to their HP WorkSite document management system, which also contains their precedent and Know How databases. Jeremy Rooth, Director of Business Transformation & Knowledge Management, commented, “The RAVN solution allows us to index multiple WorkSite and other global repositories and seamlessly search the firm’s entire knowledge base from within SharePoint 2013, without having to migrate or duplicate the content.” He added that, “We will focus initially on delivering our specific Knowledge Management requirements before extending to the entire corpus, building search views using standard SharePoint and RAVN-supplied webparts as appropriate.”

Jeremy added, “RAVN is very competitively priced at the moment and provides a standardised Windows interface so it needs much less integration. It’s really simple and mimics the technology people already use. I’m focused on systems that are intuitive to use – unless it’s very simple to use people don’t have the time to work it out and remember how to use it”.
