Bridgeway Software, the most recommended provider of legal services management solutions, today announced the immediate availability of LawManager 6.4®, the industry-leading case and matter management software.  The latest version increases an attorney’s ability to access legal information in a safe and secure manager from any device, anywhere and at any time.

By fully integrating LawManger 6.4 with Bridgeway E-mail Link clients have the ability to access LawManager information from any IMAP capable email client such as Microsoft Outlook.  With Bridgeway E-mail Link, LawManager users can easily view the information found in LawManager, take actions and easily save emails and documents.  The solution provides the ability to control what information should be displayed using a configurable template that creates custom summaries leveraging LawManager meta-data.

In addition, action folders can be created which enable users to perform operations on their information such as approving an invoice or approving a budget.  The latest version also supports greater collaboration by giving users the ability to easily drag & drop emails & documents.

“If LawManager can meet the complex needs of Legal Aid as it has done for our unique high volume practice, then it can certainly meet the matter-management needs of any law department in the country,” said Steven Banks, Attorney-in-Chief at The Legal Aid Society.

Offering anytime/anywhere access to case and matter information, the latest version of LawManager is  the only extensible product in the Enterprise Legal Management space that supports a dual, platform architecture – giving clients the choice between a traditional Windows interface for heavy data entry or a Web interface for ease of deployment.  New components in v6.4 also include a new Report Designer and the integration of the application’s Report Wizard into both architectures.

Maintaining full support for SAP Business Objects' business intelligence products, LawManager Pro 6.4 continues to build upon the new capabilities released earlier this year in LawManager Pro 6.3, which include:

  • Report Wizard: already known for its powerful searching capabilities, the latest version of LawManager's Report Wizard is now unified between both Windows and Web platforms.  This enables users to create a Wizard report in one platform and immediately have access to it in the other platform, while maintaining full application level security.  The Report Wizard also supports PDF output and includes an Instant PDF button that enables users to create a quick report of any screen boasting productivity by allowing all users in the legal department to share ad-hoc reports.
  • Report Designer: enables users to fully customize LawManager Wizard reports with embedded graphics and charts.  Now attorneys and other users can quickly build ad-hoc reports using the Report Wizard and then easily ask their staff to turn the report into a sophisticated management report that includes any number of graphics and charts.

“The new enhancements to LawManager are a part of our ongoing effort to help legal professionals easily manage and access matter-related information securely and in real-time using a single and easily expandable software suite,” said David Samia, Vice President, Product Engineering, Management and Marketing at Bridgeway.  “LawManager 6.4 maintains our commitment to providing a unique, dual platform architecture to in-house legal departments.  Now, when a field, tab, notebook or even some business logic is added into the system, it is available for use immediately from both interfaces.”
