Accola, the Atlanta-based professional services software company, today announced that Devry Smith Frank LLP (DSF) has completed a firm-wide deployment of Dynamic AI. With the adoption of Dynamic AI, the efficiency of the firm’s practice management has increased. Management reporting is fast, automated and easily customized to the changing needs of the firm.
DSF, a Toronto-based law firm, has been a trusted advisor and advocate for corporations, individuals and small businesses since 1964. The firm has grown in recent years and now consists of a group of 48 lawyers, 6 licensed paralegals, 33 law clerks and 25 administrative staff. DSF purchased Aderant Expert in 2012 in order to provide for the time-keeping, accounting and billing needs of its growing practice. Soon after the implementation of Aderant Expert, DSF began to look for a more robust and flexible reporting package to enhance its practice management capabilities.
DSF examined Accola’s Dynamic AI software package and realized that it met or exceeded all of its expectations for internal reporting. The chief attraction of Dynamic AI to DSF was the ease in creating customized reports that provide just the right information that management requires.
DSF was especially attracted to the graphing capabilities of Dynamic AI. Implementation was complete in a matter of days. Dynamic AI is now the firm’s core management reporting application.
“Dynamic AI is doing what we want. It is head and shoulders about the competition, at half the price. Dynamic AI brought us to a whole new level of internal reporting, compared to our legacy accounting system,” said Darryl Byrne, IT Manager at DSF. “Accola’s implementation team has a broad knowledge of the accounting and reporting requirements of law firms. They are not stuck inside knowledge silos, like other IT firms.
They were totally responsive to our needs. Accola’s remote training on Dynamic AI for our equity partners and selected users was great.”
DSF also utilized Accola’s consulting services to support and modify its existing Aderant Expert software package. “The Accola team responds
to our questions the same day,” said Byrne. “We will continue to use Accola. They give us the results we need.”
