Amicus Cloud now provides unlimited Custom Fields; a dynamic QuickBooks Link is in Beta
Gavel & Gown Software Inc. is the leading developer of practice management software for lawyers. Its Amicus Attorney product line includes the innovative and mobile Amicus Cloud, a product that gives lawyers the freedom to work anytime, anywhere, on almost any device.
Since its launch in October, Amicus Cloud has continued to add great new features. This week the new features have been particularly significant, especially the Custom Fields.
Now, in addition to the many standard types of information organized by Amicus Cloud, users can keep track of anything else they want, and everything else they want, on any client matter file. Amicus Cloud now has an unlimited number of custom fields, available in any form – date fields, number fields, text fields, drop-down lists (with editable selections), checkboxes, and more. Each type of file can have a different selection of custom information, according to what is appropriate for that type of legal work.

This week’s release of Amicus Cloud also includes a dynamic link to QuickBooks, the widely used accounting system. The link is fully functional, but is considered to be in “beta test” right now, so that customers can give feedback on how to make it better.
Ron Collins explains, “QuickBooks is used by more law firms than all other accounting programs combined, so this is a really important feature. Our dynamic QuickBooks link offers something that is actually quite amazing… seamless communication between our web-based practice management system and the desktop QuickBooks. It gives you the best of both worlds, and ensures consistent and accurate information with no duplication of effort.”
Amicus Cloud continues to have the ability to work with many other accounting systems, but the QuickBooks link is the easiest, most advanced and dynamic.
