Taylor Vinters’ MobileIron solution increases security and agility
UK News

Appurity logoAppurity, a company that deploys solutions for critical mobile security services across all verticals, today announced details of how, alongside the mobile-centric security platform MobileIron (acquired by Ivanti), it deployed solutions that increased security and agility for international law firm Taylor Vinters LLP.

Taylor Vinters LLP is an international law firm that has been supported by Appurity for 9 years. Their clients are entrepreneurs and businesses that drive the innovation economy, and the firm operates from innovation clusters in the UK, Asia and the US.

Taylor Vinters’ phase of their Cloud First strategy was to create a more agile working environment and move from on-premise to cloud with SaaS delivery for services, where possible and provided security and compliance requirements were approved. When the coronavirus pandemic hit, the need to ensure all its workforce could work flexibly became a major priority. As the firm was installing more and more applications onto corporate devices, it was crucial to develop a solution that prioritised secure access to business-critical data and mobile applications.

The MobileIron UEM (acquired by Ivanti), solution was agreed as a natural fit for both parties – which Appurity deployed across the firm’s devices. By implementing the fully managed solution set of Android Enterprise, Taylor Vinters were able to assert full control and central management over company devices and applications available for installation, for optimal security and to minimise unexpected or unknown risks.

Appurity deployed MobileIron’s proprietary Tunnel solution across executive devices, which provided the firm’s partners secure access to services behind the firewall. For an additional layer of security, Appurity also deployed Lookout Mobile Endpoint Protection across the entire estate to specifically mitigate external threats. Appurity’s mobile solution enabled Taylor Vinters to adapt its compliance configurations at a device level – ensuring all devices adhered to the firm’s specific compliance policies and requirements.

Appurity’s team also configured Rubus for iManage 10 as part of its solution, for full iManage integration with an individual user’s 9 work for Rubus, an enterprise grade email client.

The MobileIron solution strengthened Taylor Vinters’ move to agile working. By equipping staff with all the tools they need to work from home effectively - through access to both necessary applications as well as data – the solution has enhanced staff productivity. For the firm’s leaders, this solution also provides peace-of-mind that they are not compromising on the strong on-site security that they are accustomed to.

Steve Sumner, IT Director, Taylor Vinters said: “Together with Appurity, we set out a clear plan, created a “Gold” build for the devices, established the security posture and delivered a roll out of the solution in an extremely tight timeframe. The whole process was seamless, and we have everything running to a high level of efficiency and security.”
