Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, has entered into a strategic relationship with Handshake Software, the leading provider of SharePoint®-based products and services to the legal sector, to provide seamless access to authoritative digital titles on Thomson Reuters ProView™ and embed eBook content solutions within the legal workflow.
Thomson Reuters ProView is a proprietary, market-leading eBook platform for legal and tax professionals. The new relationship will combine Handshake Software’s Portals and Handshake Universal Search with ProView’s features that are specifically designed for professional use, such as navigation, annotation and sharing capabilities within digital libraries and titles.
Attorneys and law librarians will now have integrated access to their ProView Library through the Handshake Portal, allowing them to easily find relevant ProView titles and content. The Handshake integration also provides the ability to contextualize ProView’s titles by firm-specific matters and practice area distinctions. Users will find value in time-saving efficiencies and alignment within their legal workflow.
ProView Integration APIs provide flexibility for services like Handshake to discover eBooks available to the user, search the titles, and present results in context within end users’ workflow, all while enjoying ProView’s rich reading experience and functionality.
Through Handshake Portal, users can have the capability to find ProView content, as well as firm work product provided through West KM, which also integrates with Handshake, providing comprehensive views across a firm’s information resources.
