Latest Version of ProLaw Introduces Enhanced Billing, Journal and Pro Filing Functionality
Thomson Reuters Elite, part of Thomson Reuters Legal, today announced the time-saving benefits of ProLaw® 2016.1 which are designed to help clients run more efficiently and effectively.
Improvements to billing and journal functionality help clients’ accounting and back office staff improve productivity in their day-to-day activities, while added convenience and productivity enhancements ensure their lawyers are constantly on track, even when on the go.
“At their core, the new features of ProLaw 2016.1 are directly tied to helping clients optimize the way their time is managed, whether by means of automating or adding convenience to existing processes,” said Elisabet Hardy, vice president of Product Management at Elite. “Several of the enhancements in this new version are also designed to better ensure accuracy, preventing errors and delays due to duplicate efforts.”
Back office enhancements help billing staff improve their day-to-day productivity, as well as reduce risk. Processes that were once manual, such as tracking client payments, posting cash receipts, and configuring discount percentages, can be set to be done automatically with the expanded billing and journal functionality of ProLaw 2016.1. Additionally, billing staff can save even more time with the ability to edit transactions in pre-bills without the need to print the bill and the ability to send multiple statements simultaneously from the ledger.
Added time recording features enable users to enter and edit time within the ProLaw Portal, helping clients capture more time and ultimately improve their bottom lines. Users can also add contacts and search and view matters, contacts, and dockets straight from the Portal.
Enhancements to the core ProLaw technology make it possible for clients to improve performance with Citrix®/Terminal Server and Microsoft® Office® 365 support. New Pro Filing functionality enables users to save Outlook® appointments directly from Outlook to ProLaw, while hidden meta data is removed from documents using the Microsoft Word® Meta Data Scrubber.
