LexisNexis logoLexisNexis has been recognised as an ABA100 Winner in The Australian Business Awards 2017 for Community Contribution. The award applauds the achievements of LexisNexis in advancing the rule of law across Asia Pacific through a comprehensive program to increase access to justice and protect human rights; as well as supporting corporate citizenship initiatives that strengthen civil society and the rule of law across the globe.

The Australian Business Award for Community Contribution recognises organisations that implement initiatives that have a positive impact on the community and generate outcomes that have a long term benefit.

This initiative is indicative of the core mission at LexisNexis and manifests through key projects in Australia to support the rule of law by partnering with the National Association of Community Legal Centres, creating digital resources with the Australian Human Rights Commission and publications for the Australian Pro Bono Centre; as well as creating a complimentary Practical Guidance Social Justice Pacific module to help combat human trafficking and human rights violations.

The Australian team is also dedicated to advancing the rule of law across the Asia Pacific region with projects that have included publication of Fijian law reports, Papua New Guinea legal texts, Maldivian law reports, legal infrastructure support in Myanmar, and the biannual Advancing Together journal.

Simon Wilkins, General Manager of LexisNexis Australia says the award affirms the commitment of LexisNexis staff in contributing to advancing the rule of law locally and in the region.

Now in their twelfth year, The Australian Business Awards recognise organisations that demonstrate  business innovation, product innovation, technological achievement and employee engagement via a set of comprehensive award categories.
