Hyperion Global Partners CEO to Speak at ILTA 2013
USA/Canada News

Hyperion logoHyperion Global Partners, a premier business and technology consulting practice to the legal profession, today announces the company’s CEO, Eyal Iffergan, will be participating in a panel discussion in the Corporate Legal track at the 2013 International Legal Technology Association’s (ILTA) Annual Conference being held Aug. 18–22 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The session, titled “Alternative Billing: What’s Working and What’s Not,” will be presented on Aug. 19 at 1 p.m. in the Emperor’s Ballroom. Other panelists include Chris Emerson of Bryan Cave LLP, Donald Knight of PNC Bank Legal Department and Lisa Girmscheid of Rockwell Automation.

The presentation will bring together the different stakeholder perspectives in the Alternative Billing debate – including leading law firm and law department AFA adopters and Iffergan as a leading expert in negotiating the competing interests between both. The panel will focus on trends, benchmarks and best practices in implementing AFAs. The format of the discussion is designed to be open and provocative; the panelists will react to and discuss key industry and ILTA peer metrics on the use and adoption of AFAs, demystify commonly held misconceptions, and talk about the realities (both frustrations and successes) of AFAs.

“I look forward to attending the great think tank that is ILTA and to participating on this panel of experts to talk about alternative billing methods. AFAs are symptoms that cut to the core of some very central legal service model challenges,” stated Iffergan. “This group will bring some of the industry’s leading AFA pragmatists to challenge and expose the realities, potentials and sometimes fallibilities of ‘alternative billing.’ It promises to be spirited and I’m excited to be a part of it!”

This event is geared toward law firm and law department business management professionals. The session can be followed on Twitter at #LDPG2.
