Goodwin Procter Purchases Traveling Coaches’ CLASS & CLASSe
USA/Canada News

Traveling Coaches logoTraveling Coaches, the internationally recognized training, application configuration and user adoption consulting partner to law firms and corporate legal departments, announced that Goodwin Procter LLP has purchased Traveling Coaches’ Autonomy iManage CLASS and CLASSe content for use in the Firm’s on-going technology training program.

Traveling Coaches’ industry-leading CLASS (Continued Learning and Software Skills) program is a collection of modular, legal specific and customizable technology training materials.  Since its introduction ten years ago, the popular CLASS program has been implemented by over 244 law firms and corporate legal departments consisting of more than 123,580 users.  As CLASS provides the materials for traditional classroom instruction, CLASSe facilitates a different style of training: just-in-time eLearning.  A collection of short, interactive, online lessons called CLASSe Briefs, this program is ideal for busy lawyers and staff that need to learn how to accomplish specific tasks “on the fly.” CLASSe is used by 139 law firms and corporate legal departments consisting of more than 104,130 users.

“Our goal was to find well-designed training videos and hard copy documentation to support our upgrade to iManage Matter Centricity.  The CLASSe content will provide pre-learning for our users before the rollout and reinforce learning opportunities during and after the rollout,” said Lorey Hoffman, Chief Information Officer at Goodwin Procter.  “Instead of developing a full curriculum, our trainers can focus on design of supplemental content for firm customizations, and on delivering training to our attorneys and staff.”

CLASS currently consists of hundreds of classroom modules and CLASSe includes thousands eLearning lessons, both products covering topics from Microsoft Office applications to document management systems and Word productivity tools.  The materials are customizable and legal specific.  CLASSe briefs are drawn from CLASS curriculum and offer the same high level of quality and consistency.  CLASS will assist Goodwin Procter in providing end-users with a consistent training message through the instructor, reference materials and eLearning lessons.

“We are thrilled Goodwin Procter has chosen to partner with us to increase the user adoption of iManage” said Gina Buser, Chief Executive Officer of Traveling Coaches. “The combination of short instructor-led classes for staff and just-in-time eLearning for busy fee earners will yield immediate improvements in performance and efficiency.”
