Kira Systems announced today it will be working with global law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. Davis Polk will use Kira’s artificial intelligence-enabled software for document review during the due diligence process on M&A transactions.
Kira is machine-learning software that processes due diligence data rooms, assists attorneys with identification of contract provisions frequently reviewed during M&A due diligence, and makes available workflow tools to streamline the due diligence process. Kira facilitates the due diligence process, increasing accuracy and efficiency, and serves to supplement the legal review and analysis conducted by Davis Polk lawyers.
“We are pleased to collaborate with Kira and look forward to working together,” said John Bick, Head of Davis Polk’s Corporate Department.
Davis Polk’s market-leading M&A practice handles the largest, most sensitive and highly complex deals of the day. The firm’s lawyers bring sophisticated judgment, commercial awareness and client service to high-stakes transactions, including public and private deals, private equity transactions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, carve-outs and divestitures, friendly and contested situations, and leveraged buyouts.
"We are excited to see Kira being used by Davis Polk’s exceptional corporate team,” said Tony Ensinger, Director, Global Accounts at Kira Systems. “Through the adoption of machine learning technology, the firm will be able to further scale their expertise to deliver increasingly efficient and innovative client service."
