Leading Scottish Law Firm bto solicitors Selects NetDocuments
UK News

NetDocuments logoNetDocuments, the leading cloud-based document and email management service provider, announced today that the Scottish law firm bto solicitors has selected NetDocuments as its document management system (DMS) for its 200 users in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

After carefully evaluating both on-premise systems and the NetDocuments cloud-based solution, bto determined that NetDocuments was the best solution for today's modern law firm requirements of simplicity, agility and mobility.

“NetDocuments delivers all the key features and functionality we were looking for in a DMS, without the unnecessary complexity and cost of traditional on-premise systems,” said Alan Fisher, computer systems manager of bto.

“NetDocuments is highly rated by its existing user base in the UK, and we are looking forward to the increase in efficiency and productivity that we expect the solution will bring to the firm,” said Douglas Cowie, chief executive of bto.

bto performed extensive due diligence on NetDocuments and determined that the level of security and confidentiality offered was higher than that which could be achieved by most firms on their own. The NetDocuments service is hosted in two ISO 27001 certified UK-based data centres, and bto will have an on-site encrypted backup of all their data. The NetDocuments security standards and procedures are aligned with the highest industry standards, including the current advice on “Cloud Computing” published by the Law Society of Scotland.

“It's clear that bto is a very progressive firm, and we appreciate the opportunity to work with yet another leading Scottish firm to deliver a modern and simple approach to DMS,” said Matt Duncan, general manager EMEA of NetDocuments.
