Cloud without the liability: Security and Governance in the Legal Cloud

Databarracks logoInfrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider Databarracks is going on the road next month for a series of roadshow events highlighting key issues and sharing best practice in implementing cloud services to the legal sector. The events - held in both Bristol and Manchester, will be host to prominent guests and speakers from the legal and IT sectors.  

Speakers include Frank Jennings, Chair of the Code Governance Board at the Cloud Industry Forum and Cloud Lawyer at DMH Stallard LLP. Jennings will be surveying the current landscape of cloud computing in the legal sector, as well as proposing best practice for adoption of cloud services. 

Mark Thomas, Solutions Architect from Databarracks will present on how to maintain watertight security when using cloud providers for services such as backup and Disaster Recovery. The day will also cover a break-down of CJSM requirements for cloud based email systems. The events aim to alleviate the fears and concerns of legal professionals by giving advice and real examples of cloud adoption and its benefits.

The roadshows will also provide an opportunity for networking for legal IT professionals and knowledge-share, both during the sessions and afterwards. 

Following the events, guests are invited to attend a drinks reception where they will have opportunity to ask questions and network with industry experts.  

The roadshows are taking place on Tuesday 4th June at The Grand Hotel in Bristol, followed by the second event on Tuesday 11th June at The Midland Hotel in Manchester.
