i-sign launches go! Solicitors to benefit from fully digital document service

Solicitors trading in the post-LASPO era stand to benefit from an innovative digital service launched today by i-sign. go! is a tablet-based application (Android and Mac Os) for agents instructed by solicitors. It integrates with established legal case management systems such as Proclaim, allowing appointments to be booked, client visits and sign-ups to be completed electronically.

Processes that previously took weeks are now finalised in a matter of hours saving substantial cost and reducing delay.

The service is designed to support solicitors operating in an increasingly tight margin business where efficiency and service make a significant difference.

“We have developed go! with the solicitor’s needs firmly in mind,” says Gordon Healiss, managing director of i-sign. “Speed and costs are paramount in the post-LASPO era and when regulation under the Pre Action Protocols stipulates that a signature must be obtained from a claimant, the process of turning a verbal agreement into a legally binding contract is the first step in many law firms’ business process.

In addition to the business benefits for solicitors, go! has been designed to support claimants as well. “Claimants will be faced with an entirely new set of regulations including damages-based agreements in all areas of civil litigation,” adds Gordon. “Understanding the nature of a DBA will be an essential part of the process and our agents will be in a position to explain all the details and using go! to obtain a signature as proof that all parties understand the new charging regime.”  

North west-based solicitors Thorneycroft were the first Solicitors to pilot go!
