Cloud services and legal sector specialist InTechnology has released an online virtual tour of its latest multi-million pound Tier 3 facility in Reading. In the wake of the failure of ICT service provider 2e2 and continuing concerns over London's rising costs and power supply issues, InTechnology has moved to reassure those looking at data centre hosting that there are robust, geographic alternatives available.
The virtual tour is a comprehensive guide to what is one of the most advanced, resilient and energy efficient data centres in the UK, operating to a Power Unit Effectiveness (PUE) rating of just 1.25. To put this in context, most UK data centres are currently lagging behind on 2+.

Power supply in the capital is now 30% more expensive than in other parts of the country, there's been a growing incidence of unpredictable power outages and there remain perceived concerns around physical security. The demise of 2e2 has also put the focus back on providers' financial stability, their pedigree and future strategy; the quality and scale of the Reading investment says everything about InTechnology's long-term commitment to the sector and its continued proven ability to deliver best-in-class facilities.”
