It's 21 and counting for top time team
UK News

Rekoop logoTime capture specialist rekoop hasn't let the holiday break slow its momentum with the vendor launching into 2013 with news of its 21st deal of the last 12 months. Fresh on the heels of its most recent southern hemisphere win - Brisbane's McMahon Clarke - it is now the northern hemisphere's turn with the go-live of leading Scottish commercial law firm, Harper Macleod.

An initial roll-out to 30 staff will extend to over 100 staff across three offices by February 2013.

With full integration with the firm's Lawsoft PMS, the project has seen the deployment of rekoop Desktop, the primary time recording interface; rekoop Digital Footprint, which monitors activity in the background and encourages more accurate, complete time capture through configurable prompts; and rekoop for BlackBerry, enabling the seamless recording of time on the move.

Harper Macleod's Information Systems Director Gary Sorley explains the key driver for the new system: “This is all about efficiency. We are acknowledged as one of the leanest, most cost-efficient and innovative commercial law firms in the UK, which allows us to deliver high quality legal services at a very competitive price point. Time recording was an area where we saw potential for twin gains - reduced administrative effort and more accurate time capture. rekoop immediately impressed through its ease of integration and implementation, and its chameleon-like ability to suit a wide range of user behaviours and preferences. We are targeting a 30% reduction in the time taken to record all entries and we're confident of achieving that.”

Commenting on the latest win Phil Wedgwood, rekoop's chief executive, says: “Harper Macleod were looking for a very unobtrusive system - something easy to run, easy to use, easy to manage, something that would meet the varying requirements of different users and could break down any barriers to positive adoption. We've worked hard to engineer rekoop in such a way that it supports fee earners without them being overly aware that they are in a discrete application; we want it to be more natural and familiar to them than Outlook or Word, because once you have that, you have succeeding in embedding quick, effortless, highly efficient time capture across the firm.”
