Collaborating for KM Success: The Inaugural Meeting of the Tiger Eye Blueprint User Community
UK News

Tiger Eye logoBlueprint, Tiger Eye’s Knowledge Management solution, has been going from strength to strength, with a number of firms adopting the platform in recent months.

Integrating seamlessly with iManage Work, the platform offers both simple and advanced searching and built-in reporting statistics, encouraging users to collaborate with easy knowhow submission.

Unlike other KM systems on the market, Tiger Eye Blueprint has been designed by users, for users, developed from the ground up with input from lawyers across the globe. With collaboration in mind, April marked the inaugural meeting of the Blueprint User Community – giving voice to the valued users who will work together to propel the platform into the future.

Held at BLM Offices, Plantation Place, on the 30th of April, the meeting saw representatives from a range of top law firms in attendance, including Slaughter and May, BLM, BDB Pitmans and Al Tamimi.

In sharing insights, and suggesting new directions for the platform, delegates were able to directly steer the product’s future, analysing potential upgrades, new features, additional functionality and more, to ensure that Blueprint truly works for them.

It emerged that the solution was allowing everyday users to see the bigger picture; increasing ownership and a sense of responsibility towards their firm’s knowhow. Attendees also shared their innovative practices in utilising KM to create a culture of collaboration - using Blueprint to bridge the gap between those in more junior and senior roles, by encouraging communication outside of the platform.

“The thinking, expertise and practical knowledge required to secure the future of the world’s top law firms was already out there, being used day by day, by their employees. All we did was encourage them to share it” - Dave Wilson, MD, Tiger Eye

“We want to ensure that we can identify those who share their tried and tested knowhow, so in the future we can recognise them for their collaborative efforts. With the help of Blueprint and its high-level reporting on user engagement, we believe we’re on our way to achieving that aim. We eagerly await the next meeting of the Blueprint User Community” - Fiona Parkinson, Head of Knowledge Management, BLM (Blueprint User and event host).

The next meeting of the Blueprint User Community is set to take place in November.
