Workshare, the high stakes document company, today announces the availability of their major new release. Designed to make upgrading easier for IT, users benefit from shorter document comparison times and vastly quicker metadata cleaning times.
The core comparison engine now better understands Word and PDF tables to compare them more accurately. Newly patented Advanced Table comparison technology precisely tracks changes in Word tables, even if the structure of the table has been altered. In PDF tables, comparison accuracy and readability of redlines has also been enhanced.
As well as benefitting users, performance improvements significantly reduce memory consumption on the desktop, so Workshare consumes less resource and loads faster. This is especially important for user metadata cleaning, which runs as an Outlook plug-in. Loading times are faster and there are fewer opportunities for conflicts.
An improved ‘quiet’ licensing system eliminates interruption for users and eases deployment for admins. There’s no need to uninstall previous versions of Workshare – a complete install runs on top of current deployments.
