Tikit, a leading provider of technology solutions and services to legal, accountancy and other professional services firms globally, today announced increased demand for its Carpe Diem timekeeping solution including Carpe Diem Next Generation, the latest evolution of enterprise-level timekeeping for global law firms.
Within the last 13 months, more than 25 law firms in North America and the UK have chosen Tikit’s latest Carpe Diem Next Generation solution as either an upgrade or a new acquisition including leading national firm Harris Beach PLLC. Currently, there and more than 100,000 timekeepers worldwide running Carpe Diem timekeeping solutions.
According to Rick Shutts, Chief Information Officer at 200+ attorney firm Harris Beach, the firm chose Carpe Diem Next Generation based on new technology architecture, a focus on risk reduction, and a new UI/UX that promotes user adoption specifically related to time capture and entry. "Tikit’s complete redevelopment of Carpe Diem Next Generation Timekeeping started with new and better architecture and development practices, both of which helped to reduce risk related to integration issues and future development and support. Most importantly, the redevelopment did not negatively affect our attorneys' affinity for the proven Carpe Diem interface including the popular, productivity-enhancing smart-timers,” added Shutts.
Over the last several years in particular, law firm clients have increasingly scrutinized their outside counsels’ technology proficiency in the delivery of legal services. Demonstrable proficiency via technology certification and assessment has escalated the need for firms to address the level of usability of their technologies as well as the training methods used to achieve certification. The deployment of modern consumer grade technologies like Carpe Diem Next generation delivering high usability through a rich user experience is one step towards quickly achieving certification.
