Exterro Growth Fuels Expansion of Management Team

Exterro logoExterro, Inc., the industry’s only workflow-driven e-discovery software suite provider, today announced the expansion of the company’s management team with the addition of Bill Piwonka as its chief marketing officer. Piwonka is now overseeing all marketing functions for the company and sits on the executive committee.

Fueled by rapid growth and high demand for its process automation software, Exterro has also expanded its sales team with the addition of Bobby Jahanbani as regional vice president of sales, Lawrence McNamara as the director of channel partnerships and new sales executives in the Southeast and Southwest.

Piwonka’s background is firmly rooted in B2B marketing operations. During the past 20 years he has led marketing teams and initiatives spanning strategy, product marketing, product management, demand generation, marketing communications and business development. Prior to joining Exterro, he served as the vice president of marketing at Janrain. Piwonka has also held marketing management positions at EthicsPoint (now NavexGlobal), Centennial Software, Serena Software, Intel and Oracle. He earned an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and holds a BA in quantitative economics from Stanford University.

In addition to Piwonka, Exterro’s management team additions include: 

  • Bobby Jahabani, Regional Vice President of Sales – Jahanbani brings to Exterro more than 20 years of sales and management experience in the legal market, most recently serving as the North America director of sales at Datacert. He previously held positions at leading companies, including iManage, X1, Mitratech and CompuLaw. Jahabani has extensive experience building corporate solutions involving enterprise content management (ECM), collaborative document management, enterprise search, knowledge management, information governance, matter management and all facets of e-discovery. He holds an MBA from the University of California, Irvine, and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems.
  • Lawrence McNamara, Director of Channel Programs – McNamara comes to Exterro most recently from Symantec Clearwell where he was responsible for maintaining the Clearwell North American channel partner program. He is a seasoned veteran who has spent the past 10 years driving business development for legal software and services companies, with a concentration on corporate legal departments and government agencies.
  • Amy Maxwell, Director of Sales, Southwest – Based in Texas, Maxwell has been advising corporate legal departments and their outside counsel in all aspects of e- discovery for more than 12 years. She has expertise in assisting clients throughout the entire litigation life cycle. Prior to joining Exterro, Maxwell was a senior director at Applied Discovery. She began her career as a paralegal with Grau & Bassett PC.­
  • Richard Sheffield, Director of Sales, Southeast – Based in Georgia, Sheffield brings nearly 15 years experience helping clients address legal governance, risk and compliance (GRC) challenges. He has held senior sales and management roles at companies such as Autonomy, Iron Mountain, Lexis-Nexis and Document Technologies.
