Last week at ILTA, Tikit launched its Template Management System for the first time in North America, introducing v6 of its popular TMS software. Thirty-eight of the UK's top 100 firms already use TMS and v6 will be launched in the UK from September. Legal IT Today visited the Tikit booth for a quick demonstration.
The key advantage of TMS v6 over other template management systems - including previous versions of TMS - is that it requires no development skills. An intuitive content editor task pane enables the end user to create and edit templates and implement them across multiple offices - a task which generally involves dedicated developers. Driving the skillset down so that marketing and administrative staff with a technical understanding, but without specialist development or programming knowledge, can design and immediately implement new templates reduces implementation time by as much as 75% and significantly decreases the cost and complexity of branding and rebranding exercises.
This is particularly useful for firms creating a new brand following a merger - or firms that are looking to create new templates that reinforce brand consistency across all communications as part of a desktop refresh when upgrading to Office 2010 and 2013.
