Avvoka, a leading no-code document automation platform, has introduced a suite of advanced templating and drafting features that are thoughtfully powered by GenAI, making automation and document creation even easier.
Users can either leverage Avvoka’s own out of the box GenAI integration, or they can connect their own via API. Users can even amend and control the prompts to ensure they’re getting the best results for their firm and use case.
Here are some of the standout features Avvoka has developed.
- SmartAutomation: Manually automating templates still takes time, even for the best no-code tools. SmartAutomation quickly and accurately turn precedents into automated templates. By combining Avvoka’s rules-based logic and GenAI, this feature automatically identifies variables and conditional text in any document, streamlining the template creation process. It's like self-driving for document automation. For more information on our SmartAutomation feature, click here.
- Auto questionnaire completion: Gathering the information to answer a long questionnaire can take time. With this feature, users can skip straight to document creation. Simply upload term sheets, emails or other documents and Avvoka’s advanced AI will extract the relevant data to automatically complete the questionnaire for you. Creating a long-form contract can now take minutes.
- AI-powered operation builder: Building the right text transformation or number calculation in a template can be tricky. With this feature, users can ask Avvoka’s AI assistant to create complex operations in templates using natural language commands. For example, users can ask Avvoka to pluralise text throughout the document, or perform a mathematical calculation based on an interest rate effortlessly.
- AI data review: Mass document generation is one of the most powerful functions an automation platform can perform. However, to be truly useful, the input data needs to be correct. With this feature, Avvoka’s GenAI can quickly identify any inconsistencies in the dataset being used, minimising the risk of errors. This feature is a lifesaver in tight timeframes on volume transactions, like when standing up share option schemes, ensuring that things like the share allocation or purchase price are correct for each employee.
- AI-ready documents: Tools like Copilot work best when they leverage structured data. When uploading documents to Avvoka, users can automatically tag clauses that are preserved on export to MS Word. This makes them ready for any word-based AI-assistant to read, understand, search text and provide improved clause suggestions.
- Clause redrafting: Avvoka has an extensive clause library that previously relied on manual searching to return results. Now, using GenAI, Avvoka can return clause suggestions automatically and refine drafting based on previous outcomes.
"We’ve focused on using GenAI to make clear and meaningful improvements to our document automation platform” said David Howorth, Director at Avvoka. "There’s a lot of hype in the industry at the moment but we’ve been very purposeful to not just implement this technology for the sake of it."
“We understand lawyers' concerns about GenAI and the idea of losing “control” of the drafting. As we integrate GenAI into our features, we approach it as a way of empowering automation, not as a replacement”, said Eliot Benzecrit, Director at Avvoka. “We’re focused on its careful implementation within structured guardrails that keeps our users in control of the end product. This is why document automation and GenAI work so well together.”
