Aderant Handshake Now for Microsoft Teams

Aderant^®, a leading global business management software provider for law firms, announced that its Handshake knowledge management (KM) enablement suite now integrates with Microsoft Teams to provide a wide range of Teams Provisioning features for Handshake customers.

Law firms using newly released Handshake 3.9.6 can now create teams which extend Microsoft Teams’ innate features to effectively share and control access to information. 

Handshake Provisioning App for Microsoft Teams

Handshake customers can now provision or “spin-up” teams for their firm based on any entity (i.e., matter, client, department, practice group, etc.) using the Handshake Provisioning app. IT staff can set up rules and templates to automate large requests or allow individual users to request teams from their Handshake ecosystem.   

Handshake allows law firms to create and manage teams - including membership, content, and user permissions - based on diverse criteria, thereby saving valuable time and energy. To create a team, users simply click a button to generate a request that adheres to the firm’s information governance policy.   

Handshake Personal Homepage App within Teams

Handshake also provides a Personal Homepage app within Teams. The app improves navigation within Teams, imports information from various sources, and displays it in a user-friendly graphic interface. Whether users want to display financial information, contacts, to-do/action lists, or documents, the Homepage app provides them with the information they want, when they want it. 

Handshake Contextual Apps

Handshake’s Contextual Apps provide robust, disparate information about an entity-based Team all in a single tab. The Contextual app can be added manually to any relevant team or can be automatically set at the time of provisioning. 

Additional Features in Handshake 3.9.6

Handshake 3.9.6 also includes significant improvements to the Aderant Drive secure online collaboration platform, including:

• Dynamic Templates - Drive users can add, remove, or alter information pushed to multiple Drive site templates easily and efficiently with Dynamic Templates. This feature allows templates to be changed on-the-fly and enables users to push those changes to any pre-defined sites referencing that template. 
• Drive Analytics - Drive Analytics provide important usage information to help Handshake customers monitor and improve their firm’s Drive deployment by ensuring that the right information is getting to the right people. Provided data includes who is accessing Drive sites and when, insights on user activity trends, and more.
