Reynen Court appoints Jae Um to Board of Advisors
Global News

Reynen Court logoReynen Court today announced the appointment of Jae Um, former executive of Baker McKenzie and founder of insights firm Six Parsecs, to its advisory board.

Um brings over 10 years of industry experience and will help Reynen Court’s team through its next growth stage as it revolutionizes the way law firms and in-house legal departments source and safely deploy new technologies.

The new appointment follows last year’s announcement of the commercial availability of Reynen Court’s ground-breaking platform that operates like a true marketplace in which law firms and in-house legal departments can quickly find and evaluate new technologies, securely test and deploy them and strategically and nimbly manage them. The Reynen Court platform reduces the time it takes to source and safely deploy new technologies from months to minutes.

“The legal environment is extraordinarily complex and an inefficient market for both service providers and technology companies”, said Jae Um. “With the explosion of new technologies, legal practitioners and businesses have more choices than ever, but increasing balkanization is actually raising ecosystem barriers like interoperability and tech stack fit. To keep up with the pace of business, the legal industry needs new, innovative intermediaries like Reynen Court, who add real value to the whole ecosystem from the middle out: by reimagining the entire try-to-buy paradigm.”

Jae Um: "Reynen Court is in a unique market-making position within the legal industry."

Um continues: “For law firms and in-house legal departments, Reynen Court provides solutions that empower IT teams to shift focus to higher value strategy for the organization’s technology roadmap, while providing the security assurance needed to move faster — in speed of procurement, deployment and time to value. For technology vendors, Reynen Court offers a more standardized deployment pathway, which decreases uncertainty and overall cost in go-to-market. Features like Test Drive and One-Click Proof-Of-Concept are aiming at solving today’s pain points to make it easier for customers to try and buy the technology they need, at the moment of need.”

“We are very pleased to welcome Jae Um to our board of advisors”, said Reynen Court founder and CEO Andrew D. Klein. “Jae is a singularly strategic thinker in the legal sector, with unparalleled insight and a wealth of knowledge and expertise about how legal businesses work. Her guidance and assistance will be a tremendous resource in pursuit of our mission to establish a true, vibrant and open marketplace for legal technology.”

“With unprecedented support from a consortium of twenty leading global law firms, Reynen Court is in a unique market-making position within the legal industry: to help surface emerging areas of technology demand and facilitate matching with the right modern technology”, said Um. “With the right platform to make the right tools available at the right time, technology can become a real driver of competitive advantage in our industry. I’m really excited to help this Dutch-American tech success story through the next phase of growth and pursue their mission and purpose.
