ROSS Intelligence won an award for “best AI product in legal” at the 2018 CogX Awards in London yesterday. The annual AI conference recognized AI products and technologies across major industries as part of its two-day event this year, “The Festival of All Things AI, Blockchain and Emerging Technologies.”
The awards were judged by a panel of industry and academic experts and journalists.
Alongside ROSS Intelligence, other companies that took home awards included Boston Dynamics, Microsoft, Netflix, Amazon’s Alexa and Google Deepmind.
ROSS is an artificial intelligence tool for legal research and a leader in applying AI in the legaltech space that was founded in 2015 out of the University of Toronto, the birthplace of modern AI.
“This is a wonderful recognition of the hard work our engineering team has done over the last 12 months, and is perfectly timed with several major announcements we have scheduled in the next quarter,” said Andrew Arruda, CEO and Co-Founder of ROSS Intelligence. “We’re honored to have been included in this group of industry leaders, and are more enthusiastic than ever about what the future holds for AI.”
CogX 2018 brought together more than 4,000 attendees and 300 industry thought leaders to recognize achievements in AI and discuss the impact of the technology on industry, government, and society, as well as the intersection of AI with emerging technologies such as blockchain, IoT and VR, and AR. CogX was launched in 2017 by CognitionX, an AI advice platform that connects a global network of AI experts.
