Thomson Reuters today announced that market-leading e-billing and matter management solution, Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker™ (formerly Serengeti Tracker™), has introduced new and enhanced functionality focused on strengthening core e-billing and reporting, improving ease of use with refinements to the user experience, and continuing to integrate Legal Tracker with the apps corporate legal departments use every day.
Legal Tracker has long offered a wide range of capabilities aimed at helping legal departments control, predict, and responsibly reduce their legal spend. Now this toolset has been expanded further, granting Legal Tracker users the ability to restrict the format and currencies in which their firms may submit invoices. These new controls help users get the most out of Legal Tracker invoice auditing features, ensuring firms are submitting invoices in a way that complies with company policies.
Additional improvements to Tracker include a number of user interface enhancements, including support for additional languages. Reports are also now easier to share with other users via a mult-picklist, and it is now far simpler to review or audit shared reports, see when they were last run, or revoke access.
Dashboards, which let Legal Tracker users visualize the performance of their legal department in powerful and actionable ways, have also been expanded. Users can now select from two additional chart types which improve visibility into company spend: Billing vs. Approved and Spend by Fee Arrangements.

Legal Tracker has also improved integrations with key apps and partner solutions, enabling legal departments to be more connected and productive. Introduced last year, the Legal Tracker Add-in for Microsoft® Outlook® has been further extended with the ability to quickly create matters—in addition to reviewing, approving, or disputing invoices—right from inside their Outlook reading pane.
