Award-winning legaltech company ThreadKM, winner of the 2016 ILTA Innovative Solution Provider of the Year Award, today announced the launch of ThreadBot to perform automated tasks within their collaboration platform.
The chat-based bot can look for specific words or phrases and respond with key information, including links to documents that are stored in the law firm’s document management system.
“Conversational bot technology aligns with ThreadKM’s mission to enhance and streamline law firm communication,” said Dan Hauck, CEO at ThreadKM. “ThreadBot can automate simple tasks, enable best practices, and increase productivity for our users - exactly what our customers and their clients are seeking.”
ThreadKM’s industry-leading, matter-centric collaboration platform allows legal professionals to exchange messages and share ideas using a messaging-style workflow across both desktop and mobile devices. With ThreadBot, an intelligent bot can join the conversation, too. When a user types “sample deal checklist,” for example, Threadbot can suggest an appropriate document, such as a firm’s deal checklist template from the document management system.
“At ThreadKM, we’re committed to providing a dramatically better workflow experience than what’s available today, which is email - a twenty-year-old habit,” said Hauck, “ThreadBot clearly fits that formula as it is exactly this type of functionality that email cannot compete with.”
“We’re excited about the implications of ThreadBot for our customers,” said Damon Goduto, VP of Sales. “We listen closely to their feedback and this was something that we built in response to what they told us.”
The future of ThreadBot is even more promising. “Earlier this year, we launched our Developer Program, which enables other legal technology companies to build integrations with our platform,” said Mike Spector, Director of Integrations. “The response was tremendous. We’ll be making ThreadBot available to them in the future, enabling ThreadBot to perform actions in research, time entry, and more.”
