72% of AmLaw 100 Firms Now Use CompuLaw Rules Databases™
Global News

CompuLaw logoCompuLaw LLC, publisher of calendar/docket matter management software with built-in court rules databases, announced today that 72% of AmLaw 100 firms now rely on CompuLaw court rules in their docketing department.  In addition, according to the most recent 250 Survey from The National Law Journal, more of the nation’s largest law firms use CompuLaw Vision™ than any other rules-based legal calendaring/docketing software.

“In these economic times, we are not only grateful for our successes, but we appreciate the overwhelming loyalty and support that we receive from our customers,” said David J. Kalmick, president and CEO of CompuLaw.  “We recognize that risk management strategies are a top priority for today’s law firms. Calendar/deadline-related errors continue to be the leading cause of malpractice claims, and during our last economic downturn, malpractice claims rose up to 60 percent. Our goal is to continue to educate law firms on how to successfully improve docketing efficiencies, reduce risk and, perhaps most important, protect client interests.”

According to the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) 2008 Technology Usage Survey, CompuLaw Vision is the most widely-used calendaring/docketing software among ILTA member firms. In addition, CompuLaw’s Vision software and court rules-based technologies are currently used by over 82% of the top 50 law firms in California.

CompuLaw offers rules databases for all 50 states, including State, Federal, Appellate, Supreme Court, Bankruptcy, Intellectual Property and more.  During 2008, CompuLaw released 346 separate rules updates (rule sets updated 3,690 times in total) as well as 91 new rule sets for numerous jurisdictions across the United States, including Illinois, Indiana, California, Florida, Kentucky, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, North Carolina, Michigan, New Mexico, Georgia and Tennessee.  For the complete list of CompuLaw rules databases, visit www.compulaw.com.
