Earlier this month we reported on a great new resource for legal staff struggling with Word 2007 (original post here). Summarizing, Jan Berinstein has written a book (Formatting Legal Documents with Word 2007) that is specifically aimed at legal staff. The book helps legal staff to take control of complex documents.
“I think the book will be an indispensable reference for anyone in a law office, government agency, or corporate legal department who needs to create and format legal documents,” Berinstein says. The book consists mainly of short articles or tutorials rather than traditional "chapters". To convince the target audience the book is a good investment, Berinstein has allowed Legal IT Professionals to publish a section of the book (dealing with aligning text with pleading line numbers). Berinstein: "that section should help people dealing with one of the most frustrating aspects of using Word in a law-firm setting, and it also gives some sense of the kinds of topics I cover in the book".
Berinstein recommends that potential buyers also take a look at the preview on the Lulu page, which includes the entire table of contents.
