Ecovis STLex Studio Legale Tributario implements TIQ’s automated time tracking solution

All fee earners practising law and tax consulting at ECOVIS STLex Italy are now using TIQ Time to unlock critical data insights and reduce time leakage.

ECOVIS STLex Italy required an innovative solution to address some time-tracking related issues. Using TIQ’s automated and suggested time entries, consultants now spent less time filling out timesheets, thereby increasing productivity while at the same time lowering administrative costs.

Emilio Martinotti, Managing Partner at ECOVIS STLex Italy: “We used to track time in our ERP system, which was a slow and manual process. The fact that time entries in TIQ Time are already filled out and that descriptions are very accurate is excellent. These features caused a 20%-30% increase in the number of hours captured by our consultants.

The use of narrative templates, both for captured and manual entries, improved the quality and consistency of time entries, making it easier to gain insights for service delivery and allowing a day-by-day upload of the activities performed.


Martinotti: “We have many clients that ask for fixed fees. If you agree to a fixed fee of €10,000, you need to know how much work you can do for that amount. TIQ Time captures all the hours our consultants are working and – as a bonus - provides business intelligence. We even expect further improvements with automatic matching of captured time.”

Implementing TIQ Time at ECOVIS STLex

Before formally adopting TIQ Time, ECOVIS STLex Italy spoke extensively with another Italian law firm that already worked with TIQ Time. The firm’s management wanted a solution that provided end-to-end support throughout the implementation period and beyond.
