Catalyst Repository Systems, Inc., a pioneer in providing cloud-based technology platforms for global compliance and litigation matters, today announced an expanded Japanese presence with the opening of its new office in Tokyo. Catalyst has relocated to larger premises in central Tokyo, close to many of Catalyst’s clients, as well as to large multinational corporations and prominent law firms such as Paul Hastings, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Nishimura & Asahi, Anderson Mori & Tomotsune and TMI Associates.
The new office allows Catalyst to provide enhanced services and support for its expanding client and partner base using the firm’s machine language translation services and cloud-based e-discovery platform. The company will continue to maintain a separate data center at a secure location in Japan. Operations director Etsuko Akimoto, formerly of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and a member of the New York bar, heads a staff of seven at the new office.
“Tokyo is a very important area for us and the new office provides us with a more strategic location from which to build our employee and partner base and continue our growth in the country and the Asia-Pacific region,” said John Tredennick, Catalyst's founder and CEO. “Our expanded presence in Tokyo further strengthens our vision of achieving global leadership in multi-language e-discovery search and review.”
Catalyst is highly respected in the Japanese marketplace because of its extensive multi-language experience and expertise and because of its powerful e-discovery platform, which was specifically built for large cases. The company works with many of the region’s leading e-discovery, translation and document management firms, including AOS, Honyaku, XEBEC and DMC. It also offers one of the most powerful predictive coding applications in the industry with the ability to analyze Chinese, Japanese and Korean (CJK) languages, for more efficient, higher quality search and review.
Leveraging its central location, Catalyst’s Tokyo office is slated to host a range of informative events for partners and customers including webinars and seminars on topics such as e-discovery and language services, predictive coding for the CJK market, big data and e-discovery in the cloud.
