Thomson Reuters Elite users experience product previews and new innovations at VANTAGE 2013

Almost 100 delegates from over 30 law firms and other professional services organizations – 130 attendees overall – experienced first-hand a wide range of product previews and best practice seminars at the latest and largest ever annual Asia Pacific Regional Conference from Thomson Reuters Elite.

This year’s meeting – now part of Elite’s global VANTAGE series of events and learning opportunities for customers – was held last week at the Westin Hotel in the heart of Melbourne's Central Business District, and comprised more than 25 bespoke education sessions across the full range of Thomson Reuters Elite solutions, including 3E, Enterprise, MatterSphere, Engage, eBillingHub, and Business Development. Product experts and international guest speakers provided unique professional insights, and a ‘Learning Lab’ was available for one-on-one interactions with Thomson Reuters Elite experts on all product offerings.

Among the many highlights, Elisabet Hardy, vice president of Product Management, outlined Thomson Reuters Elite’s commitment to and growth in the Asia Pacific region in the keynote session, and provided attendees with an update on many of the exciting advances in Elite’s technology.  Dan O’Day, vice president of Operations, gave a high-level overview on the latest trends in alternative fee arrangements and the key issues firms must consider in terms of practice and financial management. Attendees were also provided with a hands-on demonstration of Elite’s Engage product, an intuitive legal project management solution that provides step-by-step tools to improve firms’ efficiency.  Demand among attendees was particularly robust for sessions focused on mobility, client and matter management, and e-billing.

The curricular offerings were complemented by an evening reception, dinner and networking event held at Eureka 89 atop the Eureka Tower overlooking the city of Melbourne, which has been voted two years running “most liveable city in the world” by the Economist Intelligence Unit.
