Elevate Acquires Cognatio Law, Launching Operations in Hong Kong

Law company Elevate today announced it has acquired Cognatio Law, a Hong Kong-based flexible lawyering and legal consulting business serving in-house legal and compliance teams as well as law firms across Asia Pacific.

Cognatio will integrate its operations into Elevate’s business, which provides consulting, technology, tech-enabled managed services and flexible lawyering support to the legal sector globally. This move expands Elevate’s reach and local expertise in Hong Kong and Singapore, building upon the company’s operations that already serve customers on four continents.

Cognatio joins a growing list of leading law companies acquired by Elevate in the past three months, including legal AI technology and consultancy LexPredict, contract lifecycle management (CLM) provider Sumati Group, UK NewLaw legal resourcing firm Halebury, and Yerra Solutions, a law company providing consulting, technology and managed services. Elevate’s global team of 1,200, fluent in over 20 languages, serves customers from locations throughout North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
