UK News

Clio logoThemis Solutions Inc. is pleased to announce that they have partnered with The Law Society of Scotland to bring Clio, the world’s leading cloud-based legal practice management software, to Scottish law firms as an Approved Supplier in the Law Society’s Member Benefit Scheme. As a condition of this, Society members are eligible to receive a 15% lifetime discount on their Clio subscription.

Clio is the leading provider of cloud-based practice management, time and billing and client collaboration tools for small and mid-sized law firms. Using Clio, law firms can securely access their data from any Internet-connected device, whether a PC, Mac, smartphone or tablet.

"We are absolutely thrilled to be working with The Law Society of Scotland,” said Clio Founder and CEO Jack Newton. “As a Law Society on the leading edge of bringing innovation to its members, this relationship is a natural fit for Clio. We're excited to introduce Scottish legal professionals to the productivity, simplicity, and cost efficacy our software provides."

The Law Society of Scotland was founded in 1949 as an independent professional body representing all Scottish solicitors and has more than 11,000 members, including solicitors, law students and paralegals. Giving members access to the business tools they need to succeed is an important part of the Society’s member services. The move to partner with Clio greatly enhances that toolset.

Charlotta Cederqvist, the Society’s Business Development Manager, said ‘We are delighted that Clio has joined our Members’ Benefit Scheme offering a practice management system tailored for legal practices. Having efficient IT processes is central to business performance and Clio’s cloud-based solution can help firms deliver these.’

The Law Society of Scotland becomes the first Law Society in the UK to partner with Clio, and joins over 40 State, Provincial, and Municipal bar associations in North America who currently offer Clio as a member benefit.
