Catalyst Puts eDiscovery Back in Client Hands With the First Scalable, Multi-Lingual Automated Litigation Support System Delivered as a Hosted Service. Denver Colorado, February 1, 2010-Catalyst Repository Systems Inc., a leading provider of scalable, multi-language document repositories for complex litigation and regulatory compliance, announced the release of new products and services designed specifically to reduce eDiscovery costs, increase performance, and provide more control for site users and administrators.
"The releases are designed to help reduce eDiscovery costs and put control over the process back into our clients' hands," explained John Tredennick, Catalyst's CEO and Founder. "This is one of the last steps in our plan to automate the entire Catalyst CR process. Our simple goal is to allow our clients to manage the eDiscovery process from beginning to end without the need to seek support or assistance from their outside vendor."
Fast Track Processing and Loading With Catalyst Fast Track Processing and Loading, clients and partners can submit email and other unprocessed electronic files directly to Catalyst CR for fully-automated processing and loading. Files are available within minutes or hours for search, review and production.
Fast Track Processing is an extension of Catalyst's Fast Track data loading service which debuted in January 2009. Since then, Catalyst has run over 4,000 loads through the system cutting time to review from days to hours. Fast Track Processing compliments this process by allowing clients to upload raw data of any type or language including Exchange PST, Notes NSF, Internet-Standard MBOX and loose files.
Power Search With Catalyst Power Search, users can run hundreds (or even thousands) of searches with a single click. You can get hit counts, folder results and defensible search reports to assist in developing key terms or for meeting discovery obligations.
Clients increasingly are looking for ways to reduce the volume of documents that must be submitted for attorney review. With Power Search, users can engage in Interactive Culling using the power of Catalyst's search-based analytics and Correlation Navigators. Clients benefit through more focused review and lower review costs.
Catalyst Remote Desktop Catalyst Remote Desktop (RD) makes an already fast system even faster. Built on a farm of virtual servers and Windows Server 2008 R2, Catalyst Remote Desktop relies on Microsoft's latest Terminal Services client to provide users with faster and more controlled viewing of their documents.
Slow connection speeds which hinder the experience;
Viewing large native files which can open slowly over the Internet;
The need to view Office 7 files (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) when you don't have it loaded locally; or
The desire to lock down files (printing, copying, saving) for sensitive review.
Each host comes loaded with the Windows 7 operating system, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Office 2007. Other viewing software can be loaded as required. Catalyst RD will also be attractive to users on different Operating Systems-Apple OSX or Snow Leopard, Linux, Unix, etc. Each will be able to access the Remote Desktop quickly and easily and, from there, search and review documents in Catalyst CR.
Remote Desktop is particularly helpful to international users with bandwidth or routing limitations. With Catalyst RD, reviews can move more quickly resulting in savings to the client.
Fast Track Data Overlays Clients can now retain full control over their documents and their metadata. Catalyst Fast Track Data Overlay service allows clients to update their data directly, correct errors and add production information automatically into CR. Clients control the process using our Fast Track automated FTP site to submit Microsoft Access data overlays to the case.
The system validates the overlay upon receipt providing immediate feedback to clients. Once validated, corrections and data additions appear almost instantly on the site, providing more control, higher quality process, and reduced costs.
Catalyst CR Production Module Catalyst's production module now provides clients with complete control over the production process. Convert, stamp, extract text and create an industry standard load file for productions right from your browser. And it's built to handle the largest productions using our farm of virtualized conversion and production servers.
The system allows users to folder production documents and produce them natively or convert to TIFF or PDF. Users can QC conversions, choose from multiple stamping and watermarking options, and create industry-standard load files. The resulting files can be downloaded from Catalyst's FTP site or shipped on a drive. They can also be loaded automatically into Catalyst CR for further tracking and use.
