Catalyst Repository Systems, a leading provider of scalable, multi-language document repositories for electronic discovery, today announced a strategic partnership and integration with Smarsh, Inc., the managed service leader in secure and reliable email archiving and compliance solutions. The integration enables Smarsh users to export their email archives directly into Catalyst CR for processing and document review. Additionally, Catalyst CR users now have access to a fully integrated email archiving and compliance system.
“Eighty percent of the data we work with is email or related to email,” said TJ Gill, VP of Sales at Catalyst. “The integration with Smarsh provides our clients with the ability to move seamlessly from email retention and management to document processing, early case assessment review and production. This drastically reduces the cost and time associated with collections, processing and review,” he added.
The Smarsh email archiving system captures and preserves every email that enters or leaves an organization. Authorized users can search their email archive via the Web-based Smarsh Management Console using extensive criteria, including specific custodians, keywords and date ranges. After their criteria are selected, users can then export their data into Catalyst CR for electronic discovery and document review.
Once the data is exported from Smarsh, it is automatically loaded into Catalyst’s Fast Track Processing platform where more than 100 automated steps are performed to prepare the data for loading and indexing in CR—providing a truly end-to-end platform spanning the entire Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) from information retention and management to production.
