Lees Solicitors LLP is a Wirral-based, multi-disciplinary practice employing over 100 staff at offices in Birkenhead, Heswall, and West Kirby.
The practice recently chose Eclipse's Proclaim Practice Management system as a firm-wide replacement to its incumbent software. Eleni Kinch, Professional Support Principal at Lees, tells us about the practice, its reasons for IT investment and its strategy for the future.

Birmingham-based HBJ Gateley Wareing has taken on the corporate and commercial teams of the former Halliwells Manchester office. The move brings over 200 new staff, including 40 partners, to the national law firm, bringing total staff numbers to more than 750.HBJ Gateley Wareing utilises LawSoft practice management and to aid speedy integration between the new Manchester office and the rest of the business, Pilgrim and the firm are working on a project to enable the Manchester office to utilise LawSoft as soon as possible.

DPS Software have released the new civil billing function of their case management software to allow automated fixed fee billing and online submission. The criminal billing software from DPS has always been fully automated producing bills and automated submissions directly from the fee earners attendance note. The automation continues through to the bill posting in accounts and the receipting from the standard monthly payment. This same level of automation has now been released for the other LSC funded areas including Family, Debt, Education and Action Against the Police.
