Joanna GoodmanJoanna Goodman is a London based writer and editor specialising in the legal and business sectors. Her work focuses on strategy, technology, knowledge management, learning and development and communications. Joanna has an MBA in Strategic Management from Kingston University and has written features, profiles, thought leaders and opinion pieces for leading UK legal sector publications, including Law Society Gazette and Managing Partner, and knowledge management publications KM Review and Inside Knowledge. She has written ten books about different aspects of law firm management, knowledge management and IT management.

Joanna’s commercial work includes writing brochures, case studies, press releases, awards submissions and other marketing materials for events and suppliers in the technology sector.

As former editor of the Legal Technology Journal, Joanna is a prolific writer and editor in the legal IT space. As well as writing a regular column covering key UK events for the Legal IT Professionals website, Joanna is editor of TheKnowList www.theknowlist.com – the first independent directory for the legal IT community featuring leading law firms and suppliers across all product categories, and organiser of TheKnowList Awards. This essential – and stylish – A5 reference guide is published twice a year. Joanna has also presented on legal technology topics and has written e-learning materials.

At the same time, Joanna undertakes research for the Legal 500 series www.legal500.com – the commercial client's guide to the legal profession worldwide. She has written chapters covering the legal markets in London, the United States and Scandinavia, visiting top law firms and interviewing leading practitioners across numerous practice areas.
