Christy BurkeChristy Burke has been immersed in the legal technology industry for 10 years as a writer and consultant.  Currently, she is President of Burke & Company LLC, a legal technology PR firm based in New York City which she founded in 2004.  Burke & Company has worked with 25+ clients in the legal tech industry, spread across the U.S., Canada and Europe.  Prior to founding her own firm, Christy was head of marketing, PR and channel development at World Software Corp, makers of Worldox document management system (DMS).

A prolific writer about the legal tech industry, Christy has authored articles for Law.com, Legal Tech, Legal Management, Law Practice Today, the New Jersey Law Journal and ILTA's Peer to Peer magazine.  She has also been a networking columnist for Marketing the Law Firm and is on that publication's Board of Editors.

Christy has written articles on topics such as electronic chain of custody, identity theft, computer forensics, futures of the legal tech industry, networking for IT professionals, secure data destruction and more.  Her brisk writing style and ability to make complex topics digestible for all audiences have made her a well-respected and sought-after resource in the industry.

An avid musician, Christy plays several instruments and sings as well.  In addition, she actively supports New York's Coalition for the Homeless, and volunteers her time to develop original alumni programming for her alma mater, Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut.

Christy enjoys spending time with her two nieces, Sarah and Althea, who keep her on her toes.  She has traveled to many spots around the world and plans to continue until she has seen them all.  In addition to collecting original works of art and textiles, she is an avid reader and loves all music, from the Blues to the Beatles to the Bachs.
