Smart Devices / Mobility Product Specialist (UK, London)

Description: Picture More has been engaged by a leading global law firm to find a mobile devices / smart devices / mobility technology subject matter expert / Product Specialist to be responsible for the technical strategy, architecture, security, standards and roadmap for the firm's innovation with and use of devices (mobile phones, smartphones, tablets etc across different brands/vendors and for both firm-supplied and personally-owned devices - Apple iPhones, Blackberry, HTC devices, Windows Mobile, PDAs, Android devices, iPads, PlayBooks etc etc).

Responsibilities will include:

  • Mobile device management (MDM) software and associated tools/technology so knowledge of a wide variety of different products will be beneficial (e.g. Zenprise, MobileManager, AirWatch, BoxTone, Afaria, Good Technology etc)
  • Consultancy on the feasibility of Smartphone Applications / iPhone Applications / Tablet or iPad applications Provide
  • expert mobile devices related input to the infrastructure architecture team
  • 4th line support for mobile devices (and training the 1st-3rd line support teams)
  • Liaising with vendors & resellers (Apple, RIM, Microsoft etc)

To succeed in this role, you will need expert knowledge of how mobile devices / smartphones and tablet PCs (company supplied and personally owned) can be integrated into a corporate IT infrastructure (Microsoft environment) and how they can be securely managed in the enterprise, in line with the existing Unified Communications and related products and infrastructure (OCS/Lync, Exchange etc) .

You will need to be commercially aware and be able to consider business benefit ahead of technology-led requests. Research skills and strong knowledge of the latest news, trends, handset and gadgets are also required, along with a genuine interest in mobile technology, tablet PCs etc.
