Pilgrim Systems and K-Cloud, powered by 2E2, collaborate to provide online cloud-based solutions to UK law firms

Pilgrim logoPilgrim Systems today announced a partnership with IT solutions provider K-Cloud and 2e2, a leading provider of mission-critical IT services, to deliver comprehensive and robust solutions to UK law firms. Pilgrim already has experience of the Software as a Service model with clients such as MBM Commercial already onboard. The partnership with K-Cloud and 2e2 forms the next step in Pilgrim’s SaaS strategy and offers mid-size law firms a market leading service.

Colin Kennedy, Pilgrim’s COO said, “We spoke to a number of managed service providers and whilst most had excellent credentials when it came to hosting and the online provision of software, none had real domain knowledge of the legal profession. When I started discussions with Malcolm Simms (K-Cloud’s CEO and former Eversheds IT Director), it was like a breath of fresh air. Both Pilgrim Systems and K-Cloud understand the legal profession and working together our companies can deliver market leading solutions that really support modern day law firms.”

Malcolm Simms commented, “Towards the end of 2009 we set about selecting our suppliers of choice for both Practice Management and Case Management. We spoke to a number of law firms and some respected legal technology consultants to get a better understanding of the best products out there. The overwhelming feedback was that we should try to get Pilgrim onboard. Not long after our first few meetings we realised that Pilgrim was the right partner. Not only is LawSoft tried, tested and the best product on the market, Colin and his team know how to work in a true collaborative manner which is fundamental in putting together a market leading cloud solution.”

Alongside its partnership with Pilgrim, K-Cloud has established a number of contractual relationships with leading legal software vendors including BigHand, Open Text, Mimecast and Breath HR, and of course Microsoft. Powered by 2e2 hosted services, K-Cloud has established the only true legal cloud offering available today. Firms pay for the service from revenue not capital. A single monthly bill covers infrastructure, disaster recovery, all software and a comprehensive support service for all products in use.
