Pannone plans complete desktop refresh in 2011
03 February 2011
Manchesterlaw firm Pannone has announced plans to refresh its internal systems during 2011
The updates will encompass rollouts of Windows 7, Lexis Nexis’s DNA workflow system, and a complete rollout of Office 2010 supported by Sharepoint 2010 and a new version of Pannone’s Sharepoint-based Document Management System.
Drawing only on internal resources, Pannone’s plans see a phased release of Windows 7 and the full suite of Office 2010 technologies across the firm’s divisions through 2011. In addition to delivering these technologies, the Pannone team will also virtualise any legacy applications which are not certified for Windows 7.
Pannone will also completely refresh a range of fee earner tools, including revising their Sharepoint Document Management System to run in Sharepoint 2010, various document collaboration tools together with a refresh of the firm’s Sharepoint Intranet system, and an implementation of Lexis Nexis DNA across a number of divisions.
Pannone IT Director David Griffiths said: “Pannone is committed to remaining at the leading edge of technology, and with this programme of upgrades we will ensure that we have modern and robust technologies in place. That this ambitious programme will be undertaken entirely in-house is a testament to the depth and quality of our IT teams. These upgrades will drive efficiency and improved client service for some years to come.”
