IRIS Legal streamlines user-friendly web portal
19 May 2010
Further to a recent press release announcing the 500th registered user to the IRIS Legal web portal after just four months in action, the IRIS portal team has been busy making aesthetic improvements to the site, adding additional valuable content and promoting to non-registered IRIS clients to the effect of over 1300 more registrations in the intervening two month period.
Martin Leuw, Group Chief Executive of IRIS, comments:
“The results of the hard work of the portal team have been nothing short of staggering. Even in our most ambitious projections, we didn’t anticipate such a phenomenal response to our client e-newsletters where we posted important reminders about the benefits of this supplementary, free, online support resource.
The site is now the central point of reference for all product-specific documentation and news, including timely advice from both IRIS and other external organisations. For instance, within minutes of receiving notice from HM Revenue & Customs of an intermittent service issue with their e-submission facility, there was a widget on the IRIS Laserform product page asking clients of our SDLT e-Submissions software to re-send any returns from that morning to ensure successful receipt by HMRC up to the point where they’d resolved the problems with their website.
Similarly, other recent useful information has covered the reversion of the VAT rate and associated impact on IRIS software, graduated fee changes for barristers undertaking criminal Legal Aid work and our most-read widgets of last month which detailed e-Government integrations and Windows 7 client installations.
The portal is an easy and reliable way of keeping clients up to date with relevant updates from across the legal environment. Because of this, it’s already become the first portal of call for a significant proportion of our customer base who have fully realised the promptness of response within the portal.
The final point to mention is the streamlined look and feel. Customer feedback highlighted areas for improvement within the user interface. So, instead of seeing a number of user-specific tabs of accessible web pages, a simple drop down selection replaces the once cluttered format with a cleaner, professional style. Some features have moved to their most obvious and convenient location. Navigation is now more user-friendly and the overall appearance is easier on the eye.
We continue to register users to the site and are always welcome to feedback, both positive and negative, in order to constantly enhance the service offered and customer experience of the site. Clients must also remember that in the unlikely event they can’t find what they’re looking for on the portal, they should contact their account manager or the technical helpdesk in the usual way.”
