Thomson Reuters Engage Now Part of Elite Family of Leading Solutions for Professional Services Firms

Elite logElite, a leading developer of integrated information solutions for professional services firms worldwide, today announced that Thomson Reuters Engage™ is now part of the Elite family. Engage is the first comprehensive Engagement Planning and Management (EPM) solution that enables law firms to easily build and manage the engagement plans of matters and matter portfolios, including alternative fee arrangements (AFAs).

Engage integrates with the ELITE 3E®, Enterprise and third-party platforms to leverage a firm’s financial information in order to build practice-tested plans and budgets, then monitor performance against them in real time.

“Engage is clearly a strong, strategic fit for Elite’s core market and plays an integral role within the end-to-end solution that the Business of Law unit from Thomson Reuters delivers to firms,” said Kim Massana, president of Elite. “The transition of the Engage staff, who we’ve been working with for several years, and their product line has been seamless as we are all focused on helping law firms profitably manage their business in today’s rapidly shifting landscape.”

A key mission of the Business of Law unit of Thomson Reuters is to amplify law firm growth and profitability through a harmonized portfolio of award-winning solutions. Business of Law solutions provide law firms a more complete – and integrated – platform to operate as efficient and profitable businesses throughout the entire engagement lifecycle. Hubbard One enables firms to bring in business through front end marketing applications. Engage helps firms manage matters to schedule and budget, ensuring profitability along the way. Elite’s financial platforms feed information into Engage initially and throughout the client engagement. Finally, eBillingHub, recently acquired by Thomson Reuters, the industry leader in electronic billing delivery and management, enables firms to close the loop by billing efficiently and effectively.

Engage was developed by Hildebrandt Baker Robbins consultants and officially introduced to the market by Thomson Reuters in May 2010. The innovative solution enables law firms to create, monitor and manage integrated budgets and work plans for matters and portfolios of matters, which effectively meets the demand for transparent and predictable costs. Engage’s intuitive design and seamless integration with law firms’ existing management information systems – including time and billing, human resources, email and customer relationship management – allows attorneys to confidently manage within the evolving demands of today’s clients.
