Recommind Delivers Seamless eDiscovery with Axcelerate eDiscovery 4.3

Recommind logoHybrid Approach to eDiscovery Maximizes Efficiency and Ease-of-Use, While Providing On-Premise and Cloud-Based Solutions on the Same CORE Platform

Recommind, the leader in predictive information management software, today announced Axcelerate® eDiscovery 4.3, the latest update for its unified eDiscovery suite.

As frequent litigation, rapidly growing regulatory scrutiny and skyrocketing volumes and complexity of corporate data make traditional eDiscovery point solutions unsustainably expensive, inefficient and difficult to manage, Recommind has introduced new seamless management capabilities to enable simple management of the entire eDiscovery process in one fully integrated platform.

These new capabilities extend Axcelerate eDiscovery’s position as the industry’s only end-to-end eDiscovery platform – from collection through production – made available seamlessly on-premise, in the cloud or both.

The Axcelerate eDiscovery suite consists of two licensed products, Axcelerate ECA & Collection and Axcelerate Review & Analysis, both built on Recommind's patented CORE® technology for search and categorization, as well as Axcelerate On-Demand, which provides the same powerful capabilities in the cloud. All Recommind products use the same CORE index for everything from identification, ECA and collection to Predictive Coding, analysis and production. As a result, Axcelerate eDiscovery manages data with the same seamless technology throughout the different phases of eDiscovery, even between the corporate firewall and the cloud. This fully integrated, single-platform approach eliminates the regularly error-prone hand-off of data between disparate systems, which generates significant cost, risk and complexity for users of eDiscovery appliances and other ‘point’ eDiscovery solutions.

"Recommind’s software has dramatically changed the way we handle eDiscovery,” said Woods Abbott, Senior Manager of Legal Operations/eDiscovery, Raytheon. "Axcelerate’s Predictive Coding technology and workflows allow us to review documents exponentially faster and cheaper than we ever could in the past. We’ve been able to eliminate the tedious first-pass review stage and are leveraging Predictive Coding to streamline the efficiency of our review. And with Predictive Sampling built in, we can be confident that the results of our computer-assisted coding are even more accurate and defensible than human review alone.”

With prominent jurists explicitly endorsing computer-assisted coding for document review , Recommind has also updated the Predictive Sampling functionality built into Axcelerate Review & Analysis. Legal experts regard sampling as the gold standard of defensibility, and Axcelerate Review & Analysis remains the industry’s only solution with integrated sampling for defensible Predictive Coding. Axcelerate eDiscovery 4.3 simplifies the sampling process and makes it more consistent, enabling firms to get started with Predictive Coding faster than ever.

New features in Axcelerate complement and simplify Recommind’s existing workflows, making the collection process shorter, simpler, faster and even more reliable, and the review process even more efficient. Overall enhancements to Axcelerate eDiscovery 4.3 include:

  • One-Step Collection – enhanced indexing and storage of collected files
  • New monitoring application for single-step management of multiple systems and monitoring of concept-group creation, phrase extraction and training-group creation and improved alert notification
  • Enhanced Search Query Editor, including unique-hits report and fielded search abilitiesEnhanced Predictive Sampling functionality to account for smaller document sets.

"We’re seeing organizations struggle not just with the complexity of their cases under management, but with the unwieldy combinations of point tools they’re using to navigate the eDiscovery process. As data volumes and complexity continue to grow and the pressure increases to respond quickly to lawsuits and regulation, having multiple handoffs of data increases the chance of costly mistakes and management complexity to an unsustainable level,” said Recommind CEO Bob Tennant. “EDiscovery is hard enough without having to worry about passing data from one vendor’s product to another and another across many different systems, vendors and technologies. Unnecessary risk and complexity simply have no place in eDiscovery. Every part of Axcelerate eDiscovery is built on the same CORE platform, which is available on-premise and in the cloud, so our customers’ experience is seamless. Having one consistent technology foundation minimizes the potential for error while maximizing efficiency, ease of management and consistency across the entire eDiscovery process – whether customers want on-premise software, cloud-based software or both. With Axcelerate eDiscovery, customers not only get the most accurate eDiscovery solution available, but the most seamless. Seamless eDiscovery is the future of eDiscovery.”
